Book an AHC Appointment

This booking calendar is for EU Animal Health Certificate (AHC) appointments only. If you pet is travelling outside of the EU, or if your pet is travelling for commercial reasons, please view our other pet travel services.​​

Before you book

Please make sure:

  • your appointment is within 10 days of your planned departure;

  • your pet’s rabies vaccination is valid and, was given at least 21 days before the appointment; and

  • if your dog requires tapeworm treatment for travel to Ireland, Northern Ireland, Finland, Malta or Norway, your appointment is 24–120 hours before your scheduled arrival time if you would like us to administer it.

After you book

Once your appointment is confirmed, we’ll email you with everything we need before your visit.

You will need to:

  • complete our pre-appointment form (PAF); and

  • arrange for your pet’s clinical history to be sent to info@passpets.co.uk

Repeat customer?
You now need to complete the pre-appointment form again, even if you have travelled with us before.

 

Please submit the required information more than 72 hours before your appointment.

Clinical examination

As of 1st October 2026, as part of issuing your AHC, our Official Veterinarian must carry out a clinical examination of your pet.

The vet must be satisfied that your pet:

  • shows no obvious signs of disease; and

  • is fit for the intended journey.

For most healthy pets, this should be a straightforward part of the appointment.

If your pet is currently unwell or you are concerned about an existing medical condition, please read our AHC clinical examination guidance before attending.

Urgent Bookings

An urgent fee of £198 for the first pet applies where:

  • the appointment is booked with less than 72 hours’ notice; or

  • we have not received the required pre-appointment information and clinical history at least 72 hours before the appointment.

The standard first-pet fee is £99.

This urgent fee does not apply to repeat customers.

Rescheduling

Appointments rescheduled within 7 days of the appointment date incur a £30 late rescheduling fee.

This does not apply where the appointment is moved more than 7 days in advance.

Payment

  • Havant and London: payment is taken at the appointment.

  • Bristol: payment is taken in advance via a payment link.
